
Dr. Timothy Wuerz, D.O., M.Sc.

Dr. Tim is a board certified physician in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2013. In 2015, became certified in Neuropsychiatry by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Miami in 1998 and a Master’s of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2002. Dr. Tim went on to graduate with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. He completed his residency training in General Psychiatry at the University of South Florida in 2013 and completed a Fellowship in Neuropsychiatry at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in 2015. He has co-authored many neuropsychiatric papers and has been published in the Kaplan and Sadock’s Comprehensive Textbook of Psychiatry in the tenth edition and eleventh edition.
He is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of Adult and Older Adult Disorders, including but not limited to: Neurocognitive Disorders, Major Depressive Disorders, Schizophrenia and other Psychotic Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Dr. Tim practices a Biopsychosocial approach. He has extensive training in Psychopharmacological therapy, Ketamine infusion, Esketamine, Transmagnetic Cranial Stimulation, and Psychotherapy including CBT.
